What data the app handles
Diagramaid only handles the content that page authors put into the macro:
- the Mermaid diagram code, and
- the macro's display settings (theme, size, caption, and so on).
This content is stored by Confluence inside the page, as part of the macro, exactly like other page content. It is covered by your Confluence site's normal permissions, retention and backup policies.
What the app does not do
- No personal data collection. Diagramaid does not collect, store or process personal data about users.
- No external storage. It has no backend and uses no Forge storage or databases; nothing is stored outside the Confluence page.
- No network calls. Diagrams are rendered entirely in the reader's browser. The app makes no requests to external servers, and its manifest declares no external hosts.
- No tracking. No analytics, cookies, usage tracking or third-party scripts.
- No sharing. No data is sold or shared with any third party.
Downloads (SVG/PNG) and Copy actions happen locally in the user's browser and only when the user chooses them.
Error logs
When something in the app fails (for example a diagram that can't be drawn, or a download the browser blocks), the app writes a short technical error message. Atlassian's Forge platform collects these messages and shows them to KODICE in the Atlassian developer console, so that we can find and fix problems. The app itself sends nothing anywhere.
- An error log holds only technical details: what failed, the error type and message, the app version, the part of the app involved (page view, full-screen viewer or editor) and display settings such as the theme.
- It never contains the diagram code, captions or other page content, and no names, account IDs, page titles or URLs. Messages that could quote the diagram (such as Mermaid drawing errors) are removed before logging.
- Logs are stored and retained by Atlassian under its own terms. KODICE uses them only to support and improve the app.
- Your choice A site admin can turn off log access for the app at any time in Atlassian Administration (Apps > the app's details > log access). Errors are then no longer shared with KODICE.
Platform
Diagramaid runs on Atlassian's Forge platform. Atlassian's own processing of Confluence data is covered by the Atlassian Privacy Policy.
